Book a Visit with Christina Soontornvat for your School

Interacting with young readers is one of my favorite things about being an author—whether that is in person or during a virtual author visit.

When I was a child I was taught that only “certain types” of people could become authors. I thought that writing was a talent, and you either had it or you didn’t. When I speak to students, I try to break down this myth. I want them to leave my presentation knowing that writing is a craft and with practice, they can become anything they want, including a writer. I want them to know their stories are worthy of being told. This is a truth that I think students should hear more than ever. I look forward to meeting you and your students someday soon!

I support equity and inclusivity in the world of books and beyond. I am not available for any book events that discriminate against marginalized or underrepresented people, either on the page or off.
